:I wish I had realized what the BBORR was when you guys talked about it...I could have been of some help :( I've been a big fan of the Silver State Classic which is a similar race (90 miles) in Nevada. Since I got the Twin Turbo I've been tempted to join up but I'll be waiting until 2004. Anyway, their site at www.silverstateclassic.com has a ton of good information. Not to mention this very, VERY helpful guide to planning and winning on a speed recorded event like this. For those planning to this at some point, you can find the Guide HERE man, I looked ALL over the internet. I even posted questions on the BBORR web/board, and asked TTnet resident expert RSR... We got relatively vague (or no) answers. And honostly, even though we planned going, it was kind of a spur of the moment decision.
We did the best we could with what we had. We both had a fantastic time. Damon wants to now run in a FASTER class, while as navigator, I want to run in a slower class LOL. :Thanks for the awesome writeup you guys as you've solidified my interest in this for next year at the SSC. Next time put the video at the beginning so we can watch is as soon as we're done reading :P
I was inspired by your writings to make such a post. I wanted Damon to proofread/edit it, and add photos. I really wanted to share what this whole event is with everyone. It all comes back around to "what have you done with your Z to call yourself an enthusiast".
